Meet our Board and Committees

The Tampa Bay Chapter is dedicated to providing our members with the most valuable, current techniques used to detect and deter fraudulent acts. The Tampa Bay Chapter's primary purpose is to serve the community by the promotion of improved fraud detection and deterrence and through expansion of knowledge and the interaction of its Members.

Established in 1992, the membership of the Tampa Bay Chapter has grown steadily from the original 12 charter members to over 200 professionals from a wide range of industries throughout Tampa Bay, Florida.

In 2009, the Tampa Bay Chapter was recognized as the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) 2009 Chapter of the Year. This is a prestigious award that recognizes our Chapter and its members as leaders in supporting the mission of the ACFE and supporting our local community. This is a global award, which is only given to one Chapter each year. Our Chapter is proud to be the recipient of such a prestigious award.

Membership Type Cost Qualifications

Chapter Membership

$25

Must be a Certified Fraud Examiner and a member of the ACFE. Chapter members are eligible to vote and hold office in the Chapter.

Chapter Associate

$30

Must be an Associate Member of the ACFE. Chapter associates are eligible to vote and hold office in the Chapter.

Chapter Affiliate

$30

Not a Certified Fraud Examiner or an Associate of the ACFE. Chapter Affiliates are not eligible to vote or hold office in the Chapter

Student Member

$25

Full-time student currently enrolled in degree programs. Student Members may not vote or hold office the Chapter.

Organization Memberships

20% discount

Available when five (5) professionals join from the same organization
